Former Major League Pitcher Kevin Hickey Dead At 56
Published at(CHICAGO) — Former Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles pitcher Kevin Hickey passed away Wednesday at the age of 56. The cause of death has not been released.
Hickey began his career with the White Sox in 1981, playing on the South Side until 1983. He then resurfaced in 1989 with the Orioles, playing with them until 1991.
During his six-year Major League career, Hickey went 9-14 with a 3.91 ERA and 17 saves in 231 games. Following his retirement, he went to work for the White Sox as their batting practice pitcher.
