Milan Hejduk Signs Deal with Avalanche
(DENVER) -- The Colorado Avalanche signed their captain Milan Hejduk to a one-year contract.
The deal is worth $2 million, according to Adrian Dater of the Denver Post.
Hejduk, 36, has spent his entire 13-year-career with the Avs.
"I believe in this organization and our young players and look forward to helping the team in any way that I can," Hejduk said. "My family and I are very excited to continue my career here in Denver."
Hejduk has scored the fourth most goals in franchise history (371) and the fifth most assists (423).
He was on the 2001 Stanley Cup championship team and trails only Jaromir Jagr and Patrik Elias for most points for a Czech born player in the NHL.
