Plane Makes Emergency Landing at O’Hare

Hemera/Thinkstock(CHICAGO) -- A plane bound for Tulsa, Oklahoma that was taken out of service Wednesday for maintenance made an emergency landing at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport on Thursday morning.

American Eagle flight 4069 carrying 28 passengers and three crew members returned to Chicago after takeoff due to mechanical issues. The plane veered off the runway upon landing.

"The aircraft was taken out of service yesterday because of a similar issue. It was thoroughly inspected by our maintenance team at ORD before being put back into service," American Airlines spokesperson Matt Miller said.

No injuries were reported, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
