Power Rates Could Change for Local Consumers

(IDAHO FALLS) – Power rates could change for Idaho Falls Power customers in the next few years. Officials tell KIDK that starting in 2014, utility bills will likely increase in cost. Business owners say the low rates currently offered by the utility allow them to sell their products at affordable prices, though consumers will probably feel the pinch in their pocketbooks once rates go up. Officials have not said how much rates will rise.
