Tallinder Cleared to Play
Published at(NEWARK, N.J.) — For the first time since mid-January, New Jersey Devils’ Henrik Tallinder will be available to play.
The 33-year-old defenseman has been sidelined with a blood clot in his lower left leg. He spent the last three months taking blood thinner to get rid of the clot.
Tallinder last played January 17 in the Devils 5-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets.
He signed a four-year contract with New Jersey in 2010 worth $13.5 million.
Before being sidelined, Tallinder played in 39 games racking up six assists.
