(BOISE, ID)  —  Athletic officials with the University of Idaho and the Big Sky Conference are talking about a Vandal return to the league.  Idaho is in scramble-mode, looking for a home for its football team and other sports programs as the Western Athletic Conference apparently collapses.    According to the Idaho Statesman, Big Sky Commissioner Doug Fullerton says he’s had conversations with Idaho Athletic Director Rob Spear and expects the dialogue to continue this week.  Spear says he is considering several options after failing to draw any interest from the Mountain West Conference.    Idaho would return to a Conference with several teams that are seemingly in the same competitive arena, however the Vandals would be giving up the highly competitive Football Championship Subdivision.  No timeline has been given for any announcement.   Adding the Vandals would give the Big Sky and even number of competitive teams.
