(TEMPE, Ariz.) — The Arizona Cardinals re-signed defensive end Vonnie Holliday to a one-year contract Monday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Cards acquired the 36-year-old Holliday from the Washington Redskins last summer in-exchange for running back Tim Hightower. In his first season in the desert, Holliday recorded 16 tackles in 16 games.
The 14-year-NFL veteran was originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 1998 NFL draft. He has amassed 62.5 sacks, 10 fumble recoveries and nine forced fumbles in 197 games played.
