Noah Graham/NHLI via Getty Images(NEWARK, N.J.) — The Kings are just two wins away from winning their first Stanley Cup trophy. Los Angeles outlasted the New Jersey Devils in overtime Saturday night, 2-1, in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Center Jeff Carter scored the game-winner at 13:42 into overtime.

“I think this is by far the biggest,” Carter said of his late game heroics. “I think it’s my first playoff overtime goal. It’s a huge one. It’s a big one for the team. Gets us a two-game lead here. Gets us where we wanted to be coming in here.”

The Kings are 14-2 in this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs. Game three is set for Monday night in Los Angeles.
