Men’s Cosmetics Are a Booming Market
Published at(LOS ANGELES) – Retailers are seeing an increase in sales specifically for cosmetics and skin for men, according to the LA Times.
To overcome the challenges of male consumers shying away from products that seem feminine, skin-care firms have repackaged various products with masculine names and containers that look similar to liquor bottles.
The intelligent repackaging has paid off because the Chicago-based research firm Mintel predicts that the sales of men’s cosmetics will hit $3.2 billion by 2016, an increase from the estimated $2.6 billion this year.
