“Snow White & the Huntsman” Tops Box Office with $56 Million
Published at(NEW YORK) — Snow White & the Huntsman tracked down the top spot at the box office over the weekend. The latest spin on the classic fairy tale earned an estimated $56.3 million to debut in first place.
Last week’s box office champ, Men in Black 3, slipped to second place, raising $29.3 million.
Marvel’s The Avengers rounded out the top three with $20.3 million. To date, it has made $552.7 million domestically and $1.36 billion worldwide. The Avengers ranks third all-time on the domestic and worldwide box office revenue charts, trailing Avatar and Titanic on each.
The new Andy Garcia drama For Greater Glory opened in 10th place, with $1.8 million.
