Special Needs Children Benefit From Outdoor Program

(HEISE) – A local program is reaching out to kids with special needs.The group “Outdoor Explorers” hopes to offer handicapped children more experiences on eastern Idaho’s many hiking trails, as well as other activities. On Tuesday the group took the kids to the Cress Creek Nature Trail near Heise, which is wheelchair accessible. Organizers say they’ll be horseback riding in Idaho Falls this Saturday, and has more therapeutic events scheduled for this summer.
