Published at(MIAMI) — There is plenty of blame to go around for the Thunder’s three to one game deficit in the NBA Finals series, specifically the team’s Game 4 loss to the Heat last night. Thunder head coach Scott Brooks has received heavy criticism this series including from one of hiw own.
“I just don’t understand why we start out the first quarter like we did with the lineup we had, and all the sudden we change and adjust to what they had going on,” Perkins said following their Game 4 loss. “So they won the last three quarters and look what happened…
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Perkins might actually have a valid point. The Thunder outscored the Heat 33-19 in the first quarter, but were outscored 85-65 the rest of the way. The Heat outscored Oklahoma City in second, third, and fourth quarter.
