(BOSTON) — The Boston Bruins came to terms on a contract extension with head coach Claude Julien on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In five seasons with the Bruins, the 52-year-old Julien has a record of 228-132-50. He led Boston to the Stanley Cup title in 2011.
“I’m extremely happy to remain here in Boston,” Julien said. “Love the organization, love the city, I think my family is extremely happy here, so I couldn’t ask for a better situation for myself, personally.”
The Bruins have not missed the playoffs in Julien’s five years at the helm.
