‘Dark Knight’ Rises Brings in $36.4 Million Over Weekend to Lead for Third Weekend
Published at(NEW YORK) — “The Dark Knight Rises” took in $36.4 million over the weekend, leading the United States and Canadian box office for the third weekend in a row, Bloomberg News reports.
Sales for “The Dark Knight Rises,” the last film in Warner Bros.’ Batman trilogy, brought the film’s domestic total to $355 million, according to Hollywood.com.
In an emailed statement to Bloomberg, Hollywood.com said “Total Recall,” Sony Corp.’s remake of the 1990 sci-fi adventure, came in second at $26 million “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days,” from News Corp., came in third at $14.7 million.
