Halstead Fire Grows to 23K Acres


(STANLEY) – A central Idaho fire that forced the evacuation of a Boy Scout camp last week has now grown to more than 23,000 acres. The Halstead Fire grew by more than 6,000 acres over the weekend, with nearly 400 people battling the blaze from the air and on the ground. Officials say crews will be working around the Loon Creek Guard Station and Diamond D Ranch to ensure structure protection
