Island Park Shooter on Loose

(ISLAND PARK) – Police are on the lookout for a suspect who shot a man in the leg with a shotgun in Island Park. 34-year-old Jerrod Hillman, a Madison County resident, allegedly shot Monte Sommer during a dispute near Pond’s Lodge early Monday. The victim was airlifted to EIRMC and was in surgery most of the day. Hillman is a registered sex offender and is considered armed and dangerous. Those with information about his whereabouts are urged to call investigators at 624-4482.
