Obama: Anne Hathaway Was the ‘Best Thing’ in “The Dark Knight Rises”

Warner Bros. Pictures/DC Comics(WESTPORT, Conn.) — President Obama has seen The Dark Knight Rises, and he preferred Catwoman over the Caped Crusader.
At a fundraiser held Monday night at the Westport, Conn., home of producer Harvey Weinstein and co-hosted by Catwoman herself, Anne Hathaway, Obama praised the actress’ performance in the Batman sequel. According to Deadline.com, the president remarked, “She’s spectacular. I got a chance to see Batman, and she was the best thing in it. That’s just my personal opinion.”
Hathaway co-hosted the fundraiser with Weinstein, The Newsroom creator Aaron Sorkin and Paul Newman’s widow, Joanne Woodward.
