Shooting Suspect Still At Large

(ISLAND PARK) – A Madison County man who shot another man in Island Park two days ago is still on the loose. 34-year-old Jerrod Hillman shot Monte Sommer in the leg with a shotgun after getting kicked out of a bar. The incident has left Island Park residents concerned about their safety. On Wednesday, Fremont County Sheriff’s Deputies scoured the woods near Pond’s Lodge looking for Hillman, who is still considered armed and dangerous. Officials say Hillman previously served prison time on a rape charge.
