(BEIRUT) — A branch of Al Qaeda has called for continued attacks on American embassies and their diplomats.
On Tuesday, Al Qaeda in the Land of the Islamic Magreb issued a statement calling on followers to escalate their protests and said that insults to the prophet Mohammed would be met with beheadings.
The statement follows a week of anti-American protests over a film mocking the prophet Mohammed.
