Man Puts Policeman in Choke Hold

(POCATELLO) – A Pocatello man was arrested Wednesday night after a littering incident turned into a wrestling match with police. Investigators say 23-year-old Lony Bissegger was seen throwing debris out of the passenger side window of a minivan. When the officer initiated a traffic stop, Bissegger became agitated, striking the policeman in the chest before putting him in a choke hold. A nearby citizen helped the officer regain control and take Bissegger into custody. He is being detained for felony battery, as well as misdemeanor littering and drug charges.
