McGee to Be Released for Good Behavior

(BOISE) – Former State Sen. John McGee is due to be released from jail this Saturday for good behavior. The Caldwell Republican was sentenced to 44 days in jail last month after pleading guilty to charges linked to allegations of sexual harassment. Officials say McGee has done everything required of him in an “orderly and peaceable manner.” McGee has been segregated from the Ada County Jail’s general population because of his former position in the Capitol. Idaho law typically allows for jailed inmates to be released at least five days early for each month of good behavior behind bars.
