(BRIGHAM CITY, UT)  —   City officials from Brigham City, Utah and the American Civil Liberties Union have reached a compromise over organized protests near a new LDS temple. The Main Street Church, a fundamentalist Christian group which operates an anti-Mormon ministry, enlisted the help of the ACLU to secure protest sites next to the temple’s ongoing open-house activities. The city previously barred the group from staking out bus unloading zones. They have since allowed the protesters to demonstrate on two sides of the building.
