(NEW YORK) — The New Orleans Saints have placed linebacker Jonathan Vilma on the physically unable to perform list Monday, as he continues to recover from an offseason knee surgery.
Vilma, who Friday had his season-long suspension overturned, will be eligible to return to the team after Week 7.
The three-time Pro Bowler will be allowed to use the Saints’ medical and training facilities, but he can’t practice with the team.
In Vilma’s eight NFL seasons with the Jets and Saints, he has compiled 834 tackles, 11 forced fumbles, 11 interceptions and one touchdown.
