(NEW YORK) — Shaquille O’Neal may be heading to Mexico.
The 15-time NBA All-Star is in talks with Sergio Ganem, president of the Fuerza Regia team from the Mexican League, to play a few games, Ganem said Wednesday.
O’Neal received an invitation to play in August, when he was doing some social work at a community center for youth in wheelchairs, in Monterrey.
O’Neal, 40, last played professional basketball in 2011 as a member of the Boston Celtics.
In 2004, Fuerza Regia brought in Dennis Rodman for two games.
