He passed away Monday morning in Los Angeles, less than two months after suffering a heart attack, according to his fiancée, former Apprentice star Omarosa Manigault. Duncan was 54.

A statement from Duncan’s publicist reads, “The Oscar-nominated actor suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered.  Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time.  Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date.”

In The Green Mile, Duncan played a death row inmate who had supernatural healing powers.

Duncan’s film credits also included Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Armageddon, Planet of the Apes, Sin City and Kung Fu Panda.
