(NEW YORK) — New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira will miss between 10 to 14 days after being diagnosed with an irritation of his grade 1 left calf strain on Monday.
The 32-year-old Teixeira returned on Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles after missing 11 games due to the injury. He re-injured himself on the last play of the game while diving into first base.
In 120 games this season, Teixeira is batting .255 with 23 home runs and 81 RBIs.
