(DALLAS) — Dallas Mavericks guard Delonte West has been suspended by the team, head coach Rick Carlisle said.
The conduct in question that caused the suspension is believed to be an incident in the locker room following a preseason game on Monday, according to an ESPNDallas.com source.
It is not known how long the suspension will last.
West suffers from bipolar disorder, and that factored in a 2009 arrest on weapons charges when he was pulled over driving a motorcyle in Maryland. The NBA suspended him 10 games for the incident.
West, an eight-year veteran, averaged 9.6 points and 3.2 assists for the Mavericks last year off the bench.
