(POCATELLO) – A Pocatello man had quite a shock when he found dozens of sticks of dynamite in his shed this week. Tyler Andersen has more. Officials say Guy Zahn found the sticks and their detonators in boxes, which had been stored in his late father’s shed for years. A bomb squad from Idaho Falls and other emergency crews from around the region were on hand as the sticks were soaked in diesel fuel, which acts as a stabilizer. They were later burned in a field nearby without incident. Guy’s father originally used the explosives to blast bedrock while setting up irrigation systems.
