Stoudemire Out 2-3 Weeks with Knee Cyst
Published at(SYRACUSE) — New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire will miss 2-3 weeks with a ruptured popliteal cyst that is affecting his left knee, according to a team announcement on Sunday afternoon.
The injured knee is the same one that was operated on when Stoudemire had microfracture surgery back in 2005, then with the Phoenix Suns.
Stoudemire had sustained a bone bruise on the knee in an Oct. 10 practice, and went for an MRI, which revealed the cyst.
The Knicks open the regular season in the brand-new Barclays Center against the Brooklyn Nets.
