Texas Tech Stuns No. 5 West Virginia 49-14.

It was the most lopsided Texas Tech victory ever over a top fifth-ranked team.

West Virginia (5-1) was playing in the state of Texas for the second week in a row.

Seth Doege threw for a season-high 499 yards and six touchdowns for Texas Tech.  He completed 32 of 42 passes while the six scores matched a career-high.

The high-powered West Virginia offense was stuffed all game by the Red Raider defense.  Heisman hopeful Geno Smith thew for 275 yards and only one touchdown.

Receiver Darrin Moore had nine receptions for 92 yards and three touchdowns.  Jace Amaro had five for 156 yards and a score.

Texas Tech (5-1) had 18 plays of 15 yards or more on offense.

Both teams are now 2-1 in Big 12 conference play.
