IDAHO FALLS – Three east Idaho high school football teams brought home state championships over the weekend.

The Madison Bobcats took the 5A state title with a 37-30 victory over Coeur d’Alene.

The Blackfoot Broncos won top honors in the 4A division with a 48-19 stomping of Middleton.

The Shelley Russets clobbered Fruitland 37-10 for the 3A title.

Two other local teams didn’t fare as well for their title hopes.

Firth fell to Declo 22-12 in the 2A matchup while Butte County lost to Kamiah (pronounced Cam-ee-eye) 30-20 in the 1A Div. 1 game.
