No. 13 Oklahoma Survives No. 21 Oklahoma State In Overtime
Published at(NORMAN, Okla.) — The Sooners were on the right side of the Bedlam rivalry this time around.
Brennan Clay scored the game-winning touchdown run in overtime to give No. 13 Oklahoma a 51-48 win over No. 21 Oklahoma State.
Landry Jones was tremendous, throwing for 500 yards and three touchdowns in a game where the Sooners (9-2, 7-1) never led in regulation. They overcame double digit deficits twice to force overtime.
Backup quarterback Blake Bell scored with four seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 45.
In the extra session Oklahoma State (7-4, 5-3) kicked a field goal to take a 48-45 lead. On the ensuing position, Landry handed the ball off to Clay, who carried the Sooners to victory.
Oklahoma is still in play for at least a share of the Big 12 title and could win it outright if they beat TCU and No. 7 Kansas State loses to Texas next week.
