Observing Elk in the Southwest

(NEW MEXICO) — Idaho’s Top Outdoor expert, Kris Millgate recently went south to New Mexico to further her study of Western Elk. She joined Tim Lewis on Idaho’s Morning News as she does every Wednesday to talk about her travels. She also talked about Little Canyon near Preston, and hiking and camping adjacent to the Bear River. Looking at topography that soon might be under water if a new Dam proposal is approved. She recently also spent time with High School kids from Madison H.S. as they moved fish from a trapped pool to the South Fork of the the Snake River.
