(NEW YORK) — Claire Danes and her husband, actor Hugh Dancy, have welcomed their first child, a boy.
The Homeland star, 33, and British actor, 37, welcomed Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy on Monday, Dec. 17, People magazine confirmed.
The Emmy-winning actress has remained mostly quiet on her pregnancy since announcing in June that she was expecting. She told the magazine that she is now looking forward to “getting to know our new Dancy.”
The couple was married in a private ceremony in France in 2009.
It is unclear if the new mom will attend the Golden Globes on Jan. 13, where she is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series for her work on Homeland.
Dancy, who is best known for roles in Black Hawk Down and last year’s acclaimed Martha Marcy May Marlene, is set to star in the upcoming TV series Hannibal, which explores the character Dr. Hannibal Lecter, made famous by Anthony Hopkins in the 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs.
