Clinicians Concerned About Future of Mental Health Services

(IDAHO FALLS) – The current fiscal cliff debate is leaving area mental health clinicians concerned about the future of their patients.

KIDK reports unless the sustainable growth rate is overridden in the next three days, physicians will see an average 27 percent cut to their Medicaid reimbursements.

Officials say it could easily put several clinics out of business.

State authorities remain optimistic that Congress will reach an agreement by Jan. 1.
