David Axelrod’s Mustache Is No More

Savi/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) — Senior Obama strategist David Axelrod lost his moustache on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Friday after topping $1 million in a “slash the ‘stache” fundraising campaign he launched after the election to help find a cure for epilepsy. Axelrod’s daughter Lauren, 31, has the disease.
Among those donating to the effort: Donald Trump, President Obama, George Clooney, and media mogul Haim Saban.
According to Axelrod, more facial hair will be on the televised chopping block Friday.
“Slashthestachers, stay tuned,” he tweeted. “At 4:30 p.m. on CNN, one of DC’s remaining mustachioed personalities is going 2 put his whiskers on the line.”
