(TEMPE, Ariz.) — The Arizona Cardinals promoted Steve Keim to general manager on Tuesday, replacing the fired Rod Graves.
The 40-year-old Keim has been with the Cardinals for the past 14 seasons, most recently serving as the team’s vice president for player personnel. He will inherit a team that finished 5-11 in 2012.
“We want to make sure that this community, this organization, that we buy in and we make sure that this team is as competitive as we can be,” Keim said.
Arizona is also in the market for a new head coach after firing Ken Whisenhunt.
