(POCATELLO, ID) — Public Health officials were called to the Bamboo Garden restaurant in Pocatello Friday after a coyote corpse was found in the freezer. Officials wanted to clarify that it wasn’t a dog, as initial reports had suggested. The owner of the Chinese buffet said he was storing the coyote for a local hunter and threw the animal into a dumpster in response to complaints. The Southeast Idaho Public Heath Office has been flooded with phone calls asking about the incident. Authorities say the owner was not cited for any health code violations.
