Michael Crabtree Avoids Sexual Assault Charges
Published at(SAN FRANCISCO) — San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree will not be charged for an alleged sexual assault at a downtown hotel.
District Attorney George Gascon announced Friday that his office determined no charges would be filed “at this time,” after examining information submitted by police.
The incident occurred at a hotel following the 49ers’ divisional round victory over the Green Bay Packers. A woman at the hotel claimed she was sexually assaulted. Crabtree was not known to be in the area.
Crabtree was never arrested or detained by police following the incident.
The 49ers are preparing to face the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl 47 on February 3.
