Ole Miss Rocks Pittsburgh 38-17 In The BBVA Compass Bowl
Published at(BIRMINGHAM, AL) — Bo Wallace threw three touchdown passes as Ole Miss cruised to a 38-17 victory over Pittsburgh in the BBVA Compass Bowl.
Ole Miss (7-6) jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead behind a pair of Wallace touchdown passes and never looked back, leading by as much as 28 points.
I’Tavius Mathers added 96 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Rebels.
Pittsburgh struggled without leading rusher Ray Graham, who was out with a hamstring injury that he suffered in practice this week.
Pittsburgh quarterback Tino Sunseri finished his collegiate career with 185 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also fell seven yards shy of tying Dan Marino for second-place on the school’s all-time passing yards list, finishing with 8.590 in four years as a starter.
The Panthers wrapped up their final season in the Big East with a 6-7 record. They are set to start play in the ACC in the Fall.
