(FORT HALL, ID)  —  A natural gas leak was detected at the TP Gas and C-Store just off I-15 at Exit 80 near Fort Hall just before Noon today.   The Fort Hall Fire Department evacuated the building and surrounding area shortly thereafter as a precaution.   All people are being kept at a safe distance while Intermountain Gas repairs the gas line.   Helping the Fort Hall Fire and Police Department is the Tribal Environmental Waste Program, Intermountain Gas, and Blackfoot’s Fire Department is on standby in case of a fire somewhere else on the Fort Hall Reservation.  No word yet on when the evacuation order will be lifted.
