(INDIANAPOLIS) — Former Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o ran the 40-yard dash in 4.82 seconds during the NFL scouting combine at Lucas Oil Stadium on Monday. He finished 20th out of 26 linebackers who participated in the event.
Zaviar Gooden, formerly of Missouri, clocked the fastest time among linebackers at 4.47.
Te’o led the Fighting Irish to the BCS National Championship game last season, where they were blitzed by Alabama, 42-14. Later it was revealed that he was the victim of an online hoax involving a fictitious girlfriend.
