Penguins Drub Devils
Published at(PITTSBURGH) — The Penguins won in a rout and picked up their first home win in the process.
Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz teamed up to help the Penguins past the Devils, 5-1 on Saturday at the CONSOL Energy Center.
Crosby and Kunitz each had a goal and two assists to lead the attack for the Penguins (5-3-0, 10pts). They also got the first career NHL goal from defensman Robert Bortuzzo.
Pittsburgh was coming off a shutout win on the road over the New York Rangers and were seeking their first point at home. They recorded 30 shots on goal.
The Devils (3-1-3, 9pts) only managed 16 shots on goal on Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. Their only goal was a short-handed one off the stick of Andy Greene.
