WASHINGTON DC) — U.S. Sen. Jim Risch of Idaho is making headlines as the nation’s most conservative senator. In a recent article featured in the National Journal, Risch was voted to have the most conservative record of any senator in the last four years. Other local congressmen listed among the most conservative were Idaho Falls native Mike Crapo, Utah’s delegation of Orrin Hatch and Mike Lee, as well as Mike Enzi of Wyoming. Risch was recently one of only eight GOP senators to oppose the Violence Against Women Act.
