Dad Puts Home Intruder in Chokehold

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — An Idaho Falls man saved his family from a would-be robber Monday morning. Police say 23-year-old Josue Rodriguez of Dubois held a couple and their child against their will in an apartment on the 700 block of Hoopes. The suspect allegedly attacked the father, Kacy Elliot, who then fought back with a vengeance. Elliot placed the suspect in a choke hold until he passed out, enabling his girlfriend and daughter to escape and call 911. Rodriguez was treated at EIRMC and then jailed. He faces second-degree kidnapping and burglary charges.
