(OWINGS MILLS, Md.) — Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco signed a new contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Monday — a six year deal worth $120.6 million. He will also receive a $29 million signing bonus and $52 million in guaranteed money.
The 28-year-old Flacco led the Ravens to the second Vince Lombardi trophy in franchise history last season, with a 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
“Last year was probably more pressure then already getting to this point,” Flacco said. “I think now it’s all about getting the team back, getting them healthy and getting where we can put that work in and get back to where we were this year.”
The Ravens selected Flacco out of Delaware with the 18th overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft. In five seasons in Baltimore, he has tossed for 17,663 yards with 102 touchdowns and 56 interceptions.
