Murder Suspect Appears in Court

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — The man accused of shooting and killing an Idaho Falls woman in January appeared in court Friday. Adan Arroyo appeared in a preliminary hearing for his alleged role in the death of 21-year-old Kristy Aschilman. Following the eight-hour court session, authorities determined there was probable cause and moved to have Arroyo’s case transferred to District Court. Arroyo, who is from Blackfoot, is charged with first degree murder and an enhancement for using a deadly weapon while committing a felony. He is set to be arraigned March 20.
