Mark Wahlberg: ‘Pray for the People of Boston’

Indigo/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Boston native Mark Wahlberg was scheduled to plug his upcoming movie Pain & Gain on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night, but he spent some time talking about Monday's marathon bombings.

"It's horrible, it's horrible, man," Wahlberg told Kimmel.  "I just ask everyone to please pray for the people of Boston and their families."

Wahlberg explained that "we have some people that we know who were affected by it, and...we have to do everything we can to help those families...and we have to do everything we can to protect our women and children, our people in the country."

The actor, producer and father of four explained the event made him want to "rush home" and hug his kids.

"It's a crazy world we're living in," he sighed.
