(WASHINGTON) — President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will travel to Boston Thursday, according to a statement from the White House.
President Obama will speak at an interfaith service at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, dedicated to the victims of Monday’s bombing attack at the Boston Marathon.
Three people died, and over 170 were injured as a result of the two blasts.
The President had been scheduled to travel to the University of Kansas on Friday, but that trip has been canceled, his press office said.
