(DIETRICH, ID) – A high school biology teacher in south-central Idaho is responding to an investigation alleging that he taught inappropriate material in his classroom. Tim McDaniel of Dietrich High School received complaints from four parents claiming that he went too far when covering topics like birth control, and reportedly advocated for a political candidate on school grounds. McDaniel says it’s the first time anyone has complained about his teaching style in his 17-year career, and denies any wrongdoing. The allegations are being examined by the state Board of Education.
